Paul's Eyes....
Somewhere in the last 24 hours, Paul's eyes went haywire. It was a very rough night and we were scheduled to be in CR at 8:00 am for his follow-up. Apparently the layer of the eye that they scrape off to do the surgery (the epithelium) got folded under in his right eye, causing serious pain over the past 2 hours or so. They think they have the problem taken care of and it does not effect the final result of the surgery. Paul still is in a lot of pain and can't see much. Hoping for drastic improvement today. The doctor said he should be feeling better in 24-48 hours. Never a dull moment around here! I took this photo about 5 minutes ago....he has been in this position since we returned from CR.

Nice Quilt. :)
I'll be praying for a quick recovery! I'm sorry!!!
Oh my gosh! I can't believe he's had so much trouble this weekend. I hope everything gets better from now, because the final result is amazing!
Poor Paul! Now I am even more convinced that contacts are not that bad and I am NEVER having that surgery! gale
Oh no!!! Poor guy!
gale,
check back in a few days. i have a feeling paul will be saying it is all worth it! he hated those contacts with a passion and had them since he was 12. he is more than will to go through a rough few days if he never has to see a pair of contacts again!! :)
uh, i don't see him?
see that little strip of green fleece sweatshirt? well that is his back. just checked on him and he is still in that position.
ps pam....paul's grandma made the quilt! she is famous for them!! thanks for noticing! :)
