Better

Feeling like I'm back to myself this morning! I got a good night's sleep, was up early and am totally ready for the day...just waiting for the kids to get up. Today is Brigg's Christmas program at preschool and he has a big part in the play. I'm so excited to attend!! :) I'm all done with my Christmas shopping and almost done with wrapping. We are just a few days away from our fun-filled Christmas weekend! I have so much to be thankful for and so much to look forward to in the next couple of months! So, to keep up with my stolen Thanksgiving thoughts....here are some stolen Christmas thoughts!

Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas. ~Calvin Coolidge

Happy, happy Christmas, that can win us back to the delusions of our childhood days, recall to the old man the pleasures of his youth, and transport the traveler back to his own fireside and quiet home! ~Charles Dickens

Blessed is the season which engages the whole world in a conspiracy of love. ~Hamilton Wright Mabie

The joy of brightening other lives, bearing eachothers' burdens, easing other's loads and supplantingempty hearts and lives with generous gifts becomes forus the magic of Christmas. ~W.C. Jones

Let us remember that the Christmas heart is a giving heart,a wide open heart that thinks of others first. The birth of the baby Jesus stands as the most significant event in all history, because it has meant the pouring into a sick world of the healing medicine of lovewhich has transformed all manner of hearts for almost two thousand years...Underneath all the bulging bundles is this beating Christmas heart. ~George Mathhew Adams

This is Christmas: not the tinsel, not the giving and receiving, not even the carols. But the humble heart that receives anew the wondrous gift -- the Christ. ~Frank McKibben

Christmas… that magic blanket that wraps itself about us, that something so intangible that it is like a fragrance. It may weave a spell of nostalgia. Christmas may be a day of feasting, or of prayer, but always it will be a day of remembrance -- a day in which we think of everything we have ever loved. ~Augusta E. Rundel

Christmas is a necessity. There has to be at least one day of the year to remind us that we're here for something else besides ourselves. ~Eric Sevareid

Gifts of time and love are surely the basic ingredients of a truly merry Christmas. ~Peg Bracken

The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other. ~Burton Hillis

WOW!! Love the quotes... It has ALWAYS been my desire to have enough of my own to be able to give as I always desired!! We aren't able to do it all, but oh how great the gift of giving has become a dream come true for myself and I think I speak for your Dad as well :-) Nothing makes me feel better than to brighten ones day, but if only a little!! God blessed both your Dad & I with that desire!! We are SO blessed, and know the greatest gift is our Lord !! Hoping to shine a light for Him this season and always!!!! Praise be!!
