I tried.

Seems like I've been kind of down in the dumps lately and have completely neglected all the fun things I usually do with the kids at Christmas time. So last night I decided we would make cookies. I tried out a new Chocolate Krinkle recipe. You mix the cookies and they set overnight and you bake them the next day...TWICE the fun!! So we mixed them all up last nigh and the kids did the whole "lick the beaters" thing. They were happy. This morning we rolled them up and dropped them in powdered sugar and placed them on the pan. The kids LOVED it! Threw them in the oven and they flattened into the flattest cookies ever baked in the history of christmas cookie baking! Oh well. I salvaged a couple. Next time we're sticking with chocolate chip....

Did they taste good? Flat or not, if they taste good, it was worth it.

you are so good at letting your kids participate in the messy stuff! those are the kind of things I tackle after the kids go to bed :) I'm sure they had a ball no matter the outcome of the cookie!
